weekend project

the boys are out-growing and out-playing their pants at an alarming rate.
i've been making the rounds at our local second-hand children's shops...but i'm finding that little boy clothes 3T and larger...well, they are beat to a pulp. just like our current clothes. a few too many power slides, coupled with puppy dog races, and we've even worn through our patches.
i need to hit up a giant old navy sale, or something to that regard. not to mention (praise the Lord :) i'll be having a little lady here soon, who i will finally get to play dress up with. goodness gracious, it takes mammoth amounts of self control to keep girl clothes out of my cart in Target. goodness, gracious: girl clothes are so crazy cute!!

all this to say, i've found my weekend project. i'm going to give them a whirl...and i'm loving the little stripes!

(this chic has loads of other tutorials! she rocks!)

we'll see how the pants project fairs. i think cute little boy green shoes for the spring are in order, as well :)
although i will prepare myself in advance that within 15 minuets of donning them, they will no longer contain any white areas :)
